Bridge Engineering Manager

We're working with an established, employee-owned engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Bridge Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of bridge and transportation projects across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. You'll oversee a close-knit team of four engineers, manage client relationships, and play an important role in the continued growth of the bridge practice.

This is an opportunity for an experienced bridge engineer who enjoys balancing technical excellence, project management, team leadership, and client engagement while working on meaningful transportation infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the design and delivery of bridge and transportation projects for NJDOT, PennDOT, county, and municipal clients.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical quality.
  • Oversee structural analysis and design of bridges, retaining walls, culverts, foundations, and related transportation structures.
  • Review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers while providing technical leadership across the bridge team.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with public agency clients and project stakeholders.
  • Attend client meetings, technical reviews, and project presentations.
  • Support proposal development and assist with business development opportunities.
  • Help drive the continued growth and success of the bridge practice.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years of bridge engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Strong experience delivering bridge projects for NJDOT, PennDOT, and/or local transportation agencies.
  • Extensive knowledge of AASHTO bridge design specifications.
  • Previous experience leading projects and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to thrive within a collaborative, employee-focused environment.
