This Civil Engineering Practice and Office Leader opportunity puts you at the helm of a Charlotte, NC office, providing leadership for civil site development projects while driving business growth and mentoring a multidisciplinary team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with firm leadership

  • Identify and pursue new clients, expand work with existing clients, and participate in business development meetings

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance for site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, and utility design

  • Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and stormwater management design

  • Review and approve project deliverables, proposals, and technical reports

  • Guide workforce planning and hiring initiatives for the office

  • Ensure high-quality project execution while maintaining client satisfaction and profitability

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • 15+ years of site/civil engineering experience with a focus on local, large- and small-scale site development projects

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license for the state of employment

  • Established network of regional clientele and strong client development skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred

  • Experience in technical and proposal writing

  • Strong analytical, multitasking, and leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client and site visits
