We’re hiring a Team Leader to help deliver major roadway and highway infrastructure work across Oklahoma (and support pursuits in Texas), while building a high-performing team and expanding our market presence.
Why this hire is strategic
This is a cornerstone leadership hire for our Oklahoma transportation business. You’ll play a pivotal role in growing our Oklahoma City presence, strengthening key client relationships, and scaling a multidisciplinary delivery team. Beyond project execution, this position is central to how we pursue and win priority work, build long-term partnerships, and establish the team’s direction in the region. You’ll be supported by and report to a Regional Strategic Development Leader, with real visibility and influence on growth plans.
What you’ll do
- Build, lead, and grow a multidisciplinary transportation design team
- Strengthen the brand and presence across the region through relationships and delivery excellence
- Develop and maintain client relationships; support strategic account planning
- Lead/assist with pursuits: opportunity identification, teaming partners, pursuit strategy, and win execution (OK + TX)
- Support proposal development and negotiations with clients and reviewing agencies
- Serve as Project Manager and/or Roadway Task Lead on large PS~E design projects
- Provide QA/QC oversight, guide delivery, manage scope/schedule/budget
- Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and project partners
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff
What you’ll bring
- Strong ODOT design experience
- Proven experience managing large PS&E roadway/highway projects (urban and/or rural)
- Track record in client development, pursuits, and proposal preparation
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Solid grasp of project financials: budgeting, invoicing, AR, and client expectations
- Experience with Bentley tools such as MicroStation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads (as applicable)
- Proficiency with MS Office
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
- Oklahoma PE required + ability to obtain Texas PE within 6 months
- 15+ years of highway/roadway design experience
