Seeking an experienced Electrical Designer or Electrical Engineer with expertise in building electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and government facilities. This role involves developing and drafting electrical designs, performing site observations, and supporting projects from concept through construction. Familiarity with electrical power, lighting, fire alarm systems, and building electrical systems is essential, as is proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for 3D and 2D design work.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop detailed electrical system designs for commercial and institutional buildings, including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Produce 3D Revit and 2D AutoCAD drawings for electrical systems design and documentation
• Perform site observations and construction administration to verify compliance with designs and codes
• Conduct calculations, equipment selection, specifications, and code studies for electrical systems
• Interface with clients and project stakeholders to document expectations and guide projects during design and construction
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to support electrical design and ensure project quality
Qualifications
• Experience as an electrical designer or electrical engineer in consulting, building, or project-based engineering environments
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for design documentation and client interaction
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
