Geotechnical Project Manager

This Geotechnical Project Manager role offers the opportunity to take real ownership of technically challenging work while playing a visible leadership role within a growing geotechnical practice. You’ll lead geotechnical investigations and foundation design on transportation, commercial, residential, and industrial projects, acting as both a technical resource and a project leader.

You’ll oversee subsurface investigations, interpret soil and groundwater conditions, and develop practical foundation and earth-retention solutions. Your work will include shallow and deep foundations, slope stability analyses, retaining walls, and groundwater management, with responsibility for reviewing and approving technical reports and design deliverables to ensure quality, constructability, and code compliance.

From a project management standpoint, you’ll guide projects from proposal through construction support—developing scopes and budgets, managing schedules and resources, coordinating with civil, structural, and environmental teams, and maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, providing clear technical direction and confident leadership.

People leadership is a core part of the role. You’ll mentor junior engineers, review their work, and help develop technical capability across the team, while also supporting proposal efforts and contributing to the continued growth of the geotechnical group.
