Mechanical Contract Administrator

An experienced Mechanical Construction Administrator is sought to oversee mechanical system installations and support construction projects across healthcare, commercial, education, and government facilities. This position focuses on mechanical construction oversight, field verification, and contractor coordination. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and familiarity with MEP construction practices are essential. Candidates should have at least five years of hands-on experience in mechanical construction, facility maintenance, or service technician roles, with a history of monitoring mechanical systems and supporting engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical construction site observations to ensure HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems are installed according to construction documents and industry standards
• Prepare detailed observation reports documenting mechanical construction compliance and field verification
• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings for mechanical systems and MEP coordination
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and senior staff on mechanical construction administration and constructability issues
• Communicate field findings clearly to contractors and project stakeholders to maintain project quality and compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in mechanical construction, mechanical site observation, or MEP construction
• Strong understanding of mechanical building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for field documentation and contractor coordination
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Revit or AutoCAD experience is a plus
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
