Project Engineer | Civil Engineering

Location: Utica, Michigan

We’re partnered with a well-established civil engineering firm looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their growing team in Utica, Michigan. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of exciting land development and infrastructure projects while working with a collaborative engineering team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead civil engineering projects from design through completion

  • Prepare and review site plans, construction drawings, and technical reports

  • Design grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway improvements

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and design quality

  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, contractors, and consultants

  • Lead and mentor engineers, CAD technicians, and project team members

  • Manage permitting requirements and regulatory approvals

  • Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress

  • Assist with proposals, project presentations, and client relationships

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 5–10 years of civil engineering experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Experience with land development, site design, and infrastructure projects

  • Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management

  • Knowledge of local codes, permitting, and regulatory requirements

  • Experience leading technical teams and coordinating projects

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
