Project Manager | Transportation | Wall Township, NJ

A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager (Transportation) based in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation and bridge projects from concept development through final design and construction support
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including bridge, roadway, traffic, geotechnical, and environmental staff
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong client relationships
  • Oversee development of plans, specifications, estimates, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams to deliver integrated project solutions
  • Ensure compliance with AASHTO, NJDOT, and local agency standards and guidelines
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and QA/QC processes
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
  • Support proposal development, client presentations, and business development initiatives
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; New Jersey PE preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in transportation and/or bridge engineering projects
  • Strong understanding of AASHTO and NJDOT design standards
  • Experience managing public-sector transportation projects
  • Familiarity with bridge design software such as LEAP Bridge, LARSA, MIDAS, CSiBridge, STAAD, or similar preferred
  • Proven project management and client management skills
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
