Roadway Project Manager

Seeking a Civil Roadway Project Manager based in New York City. This engineer will serve a key function in the design of public roadway and infrastructure projects with a broad range of New York City and State agency clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience managing and delivering infrastructure projects for NYCDDC and NYCDOT preferred; familiarity with agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCEDC, NYCDEP, PANYNJ, and MTA is advantageous.
  • Lead the civil design and delivery of capital improvement projects involving roadway, drainage, and utility infrastructure throughout New York City.
  • Apply strong technical expertise in roadway geometry, grading and drainage, utility coordination and relocations, water main and sewer systems, traffic signal design, street lighting, and maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) / construction staging.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the development of engineering staff through technical guidance and project oversight.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and overall coordination to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate daily communication among internal teams, clients, agencies, and stakeholders to maintain project alignment and progress.
  • Deliver high-quality work products on schedule while balancing multiple priorities in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • 10+ years of roadway engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D required
  • Knowledge of MicroStation / Open Roads
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
