Senior Bridge Engineer

With a collaborative team of just four bridge engineers, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work closely with senior leadership, and play a key role in delivering transportation infrastructure improvements throughout the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a bridge engineer with 5-10 years of experience who enjoys technical design, client interaction, and working within a close-knit team where every engineer has a genuine impact.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design bridges and transportation structures for NJDOT, PennDOT, county, and municipal clients.
  • Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, steel, prestressed concrete, and foundation systems.
  • Prepare calculations for abutments, retaining walls, beams, girders, culverts, piers, and other bridge components in accordance with AASHTO specifications.
  • Develop bridge layouts, foundation designs, and construction documents.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, construction cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with CAD technicians and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Participate in site visits and field investigations to support project delivery.
  • Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and public agencies throughout project development.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects from preliminary design through construction.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of bridge engineering experience.
  • PE license preferred (or EIT actively working toward PE licensure).
  • Experience designing transportation structures for agencies such as NJDOT, PennDOT, or local municipalities.
  • Knowledge of AASHTO bridge design specifications.
  • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small, highly engaged engineering team.
