A well-established, multidisciplinary Architecture/Engineering firm is seeking a Senior Civil/Site Engineer to join its Buffalo, NY office.
This is a leadership opportunity for a NYS-licensed PE who wants to influence projects, mentor engineers, and help shape the growth and direction of a Civil/Site department within a collaborative A/E environment.

You will lead and manage civil/site design projects across New York State while serving as a trusted advisor to clients, municipalities, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead civil/site design for projects across NYS
-
Develop and oversee site plans, roadways, parking lots, grading and drainage systems
-
Design site utilities and stormwater management systems
-
Prepare watershed models and supporting design calculations
-
Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates
-
Manage and mentor junior staff
-
Perform QA/QC reviews in accordance with company and client standards
-
Serve as Engineer of Record when appropriate
-
Coordinate with municipalities and regulatory agencies for approvals and permitting
-
Travel within NYS for site investigations and construction support as needed
Technical Requirements

10+ years of civil/site design experience
-
NYS Professional Engineer (PE) license required
-
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
-
Experience with watershed modeling software (TR55, TR20, HydroCAD, Hydraflow Express or similar)

Strong knowledge of NYS stormwater management design and SWPPP preparation
-
Experience with erosion and sediment control plan development

Familiarity with NYS SEQR and Environmental Assessment Forms (EAF)

Experience navigating municipal site plan review processes

Knowledge of local utilities and NYS design standards
