Structural Engineer

If you’re doing building design but not getting full project exposure — this is where that changes.

We’re partnered with a well-established structural engineering firm to hire a Structural Engineer (3–8 years) for their New Jersey office.

This role is ideal for an engineer who’s strong technically and wants more than just calculations — real involvement across design, coordination, and construction, with exposure to complex building structures.

If you’re PE licensed (or close) and have experience with ETABS / RAM on building projects, this is the kind of role that builds you into a complete structural engineer.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Full project involvement
From concept design through construction support — not siloed work
  • Strong building portfolio
Work across high-rise and mid-rise residential and commercial structures
  • Real responsibility early
Direct communication with contractors, architects, and project teams
  • Technical depth + practical exposure
Combine analysis, design, site inspections, and problem-solving
  • Stable pipeline of projects
    Consistent workload across private-sector developments
  • Clear progression path
Opportunity to step into senior and project leadership responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform structural analysis and design for building structures
  • Develop 2D and 3D structural models using ETABS / RAM Steel / RAM Elements
  • Design across steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
  • Develop gravity and lateral load calculations (IBC / ASCE standards)
  • Prepare construction documents, including framing plans, details, and specifications
  • Carry out site inspections to review contractor work and ensure compliance
  • Respond to RFIs, resolve field issues, and support construction activities
  • Coordinate directly with contractors, architects, and internal teams
  • Prepare project reports, schedules, and technical documentation

What They’re Looking For

  • B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3–8 years of structural engineering experience
  • PE licensed (preferred) or actively working towards it
  • Experience working on building structures (high-rise preferred)
  • Proficiency with ETABS, RAM Steel, and RAM Elements
  • Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit a plus)
  • Solid understanding of IBC and ASCE design standards
  • Strong technical foundation in structural analysis and design
  • Confident communicator who can engage with clients and contractors

If you’re at the stage where you want to step beyond pure design and become a well-rounded, project-focused engineer, this is worth a conversation.
